Language assistance
Patients may request language assistance to support meaningful communication about care. Services may include qualified interpreters and translated information, depending on need and availability.
Request assistance
Tell the scheduling or registration team as early as possible which language or communication support you need. SPOSC will document the request and coordinate the approved service.
Important safety information
Do not rely on a child or unqualified person to interpret important clinical information. Ask the care team to arrange an approved interpreter.
To request language assistance, call SPOSC at (910) 725-6740 or ask a staff member. The official Language Assistance notice provides information in additional languages.
